Meredith earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Radford University and earned a master’s of public administration from Virginia Tech. He is working toward a doctorate in public administration at Tech.

“I am honored and most appreciative for Mayor (David) Horton and the City Council for this great opportunity,” Meredith said in a news release. “I’m excited to begin work with the dedicated members of the Council and City staff to serve the residents of this beautiful and vibrant community. I look forward to listening, learning, and working together to build on the City’s many strengths.”
