BRISTOL, Va. — Monthly gaming revenues rose to over $19.7 million during February at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol.
Overall, casino gaming revenues topped a record $75 million across Virginia’s three casinos, according to a new report from the Virginia Lottery. The previous one-month record was $74.91 million in December 2024.
Hard Rock gaming revenues represented a 6.5% increase over January, when the patrons generated more than $18.52 in adjusted gaming revenue — wagers minus winnings.
Slot machines generated more than $16.43 million during February, compared to $15.15 million the prior month. Table games generated $3.31 million in February compared to $3.36 million the prior month, the report shows.
Hard Rock Bristol generated $3.55 million in gaming tax revenues for Virginia, with $1.18 million directed to the Regional Improvement Commission to disburse among 14 Southwest Virginia localities.
Through the first two months of 2025 the new Hard Rock has reported $38.26 million in adjusted gaming revenue — 50.5% more than the $25.41 million generated during the same period of 2024 by the temporary Bristol Casino.
Tax revenues returning to the region rose by a comparable 50.6% — $2.29 million for the first two months of 2025 compared to $1.52 million from the first two months of 2024.
During its first three full months of operation, Hard Rock Bristol has reported nearly $59 million in adjusted gaming revenues and generated $10.6 million in gaming tax revenues.
Elsewhere, Caesars Virginia generated $31.14 million during February, a 9.1% increase over January. The report shows $21.5 million came from slots and $9.6 million from table games. Virginia’s newest casino generated $5.6 million in state gaming taxes with $1.86 million coming back to the host city of Danville.
Rivers Casino Portsmouth saw its revenues decline slightly from January, with $24.28 million in adjusted gaming revenues during the month compared to $25.25 million the prior month.
Rivers Casino reported $17.45 million in revenues from slots and $6.82 million from table games. The casino generated $4.37 million in gaming tax, with $1.45 million returned to the host city.
