BRISTOL, Va. — The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol established a new single month record during March with more than $21.32 million in adjusted gaming revenue.

All three licensed Virginia casinos reported single month records, resulting in over $85.19 million in AGR — wagers minus winnings — for the month of March, according to a report issued Tuesday by the Virginia Lottery which oversees gaming in the Commonwealth.

Hard Rock reported $17.34 million in adjusted gaming revenues from play on its 1,444 slot machines and $3.98 million from its 73 table games.

The March total surpassed the facility’s previous record of $20.6 million established during December, its first full month of operation. It represents an 8% increase in the $19.7 million worth of AGR reported during February. The casino’s live poker room came online in early February.

Through its first four full months of operation, Hard Rock Bristol has reported more than $80 million in adjusted gaming revenue. Figures only include gambling results, which are monitored by the state, but don’t include sports betting — which is reported separately — hotel, food and beverage, entertainment or other facility revenues.

Play at Hard Rock Bristol generated $3.83 million in gaming tax revenues during March, with nearly $1.28 million flowing back to the Regional Improvement Commission. Those funds are divided evenly between the host city and 13 other Southwest Virginia localities, meaning each will realize over $91,400 from March activity.

Through the first three months of 2025, casino gaming has generated than $3.57 million that will be split 14 ways.

About $2.52 million from Hard Rock tax revenues goes to the state, more than $30,700 toward problem gambling treatment and over $7,600 to family and children’s trust fund.

Across Virginia, the $85.19 million in AGR shattering the previous mark, set in February, by about $10 million.

Caesars Virginia in Danville reported $35.98 million in adjusted gaming revenue, including $26 million from its 1,479 slot machines and $9.96 million from its 100 table games. Play there generated $6.47 million in tax revenues with $2.15 million returning to the host city, $4.25 million to the state and nearly $52,000 for problem gambling treatment and support.

Rivers Casino Portsmouth reported $27.87 million in AGR, including $19.9 million from its 1,423 slot machines and $7.97 million from its 84 table games. It generated $5.01 million in tax revenues, with $1.67 million going back to the host city, $3.29 million to the state and $40,000 for problem gambling treatment.
