BRISTOL, Tenn. — Paramount Bristol has a lineup of various events in the next few months, ranging from comedians, musicians and a band face-off.
Kevin Nealon
On Sunday, April 27, Kevin Nealon, an American comedian and actor, will perform. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Nealon is known for his work in Saturday Night Live, Stanley the Gatekeeper from Little Nicky, Mr. Cheezle from Grandma’s Boy, Doug Wilson from Weeds and more. He also has been in other films that star Adam Sandler such as Happy Gilmore and Eight Crazy Nights, according to the release.
Beatles vs Stones
Friday, May 30, brings a rock ‘n roll face off: Beatles vs Stones. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
Abbey Road, which the release states “is one of the country’s top Beatles tribute bands,” will play multiple Beatles songs with authentic costumes and gear. Satisfaction, the Stones tribute band will “offer a faithful rendition of the music and style of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the bad boys of the British Invasion.”
Draw the Line — Aerosmith Tribute
Draw the Line, an Aerosmith tribute band, will play on Saturday, June 7. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Draw the Line has toured for over 30 years, spanning the United States, Europe, Canada and more. They have played over 3,000 shows in multiple arenas, festivals, cruise ships and casinos.
Other upcoming shows
The Paramount also recently announced an additional two shows.
The first is Key West, a Jimmy Buffett tribute, set for 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26. (Doors open at 6 p.m.) The show features special guests: Coral Reefers Nadirah Shakoor, Tina Gullickson and Doyle Grisham, plus steel pan artist John Patti.
The Key West Band was in continuous operation from May 1993 until the end of 2018 as one of America’s first“ Trop-Rock” bands, the Paramount website states. But on Labor Day weekend in 2023, the Trop-Rock community was shocked by the death of Jimmy Buffett. Within 24 hours, the Paramount website reads, promoters were contacting the band, asking that they reform. “They not only restarted the band, but came back bigger, stronger and better than ever before,” the website states.
The Paramount also announced that Josh Blue will perform at the Bristol venue at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.)
After his groundbreaking win on Last Comic Standing in 2006, according to the Paramount website, Josh Blue has risen through the ranks to become a well-established headliner at venues throughout the world.
