Wise Central Lady Warriors 65 vs Pikeville 42
Yo, yo, yo! Wise Central Lady Warriors fans, let me tell ya somethin’—Saturday night at UVa Wise was straight-up FIRE! Your girls were out there puttin’ in work, rollin’ to a 65-42 victory over Pikeville like it was all part of the plan. “Game, set, match—Lady Warriors style!” Let’s break it down, Snoop Dogg style, and give props where they’re due.
Fast Breaks and Big Wins
Coach Robin Dotson got these ladies runnin’ an offense that’s quicker than a fresh beat and pressin’ on defense like they’re guardin’ the crown jewels. “We like to play up-tempo and get our juices flowin’,” Dotson said. And juices were flowin’, fo’ sho!
Emmah McAmis, the one and only, was out there runnin’ the show like a maestro. She dropped 30 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and served up four assists. “That’s MVP-level grind right there, baby!”
The McAmis Magic
This ain’t no regular baller, folks. Emmah’s the two-time VHSL Class 2 Player of the Year for a reason. She’s out here averagin’ 27 points a game and still puttin’ in the work to level up. “She ain’t just playin’ basketball; she’s playin’ chess on the court, ya feel me?”
Over the summer, Emmah sharpened her skills with her brother, Isaiah McAmis—the all-time boys’ scoring king at Wise Central. Now, she’s lookin’ like a triple-threat: inside, outside, and everywhere in between.
Teammates Steppin’ Up
It’s not just Emmah, though. The Lady Warriors are a full squad of ballers:
- Abbie Jordan, the defensive stopper: She’s lockin’ down opponents and still droppin’ 13 points a game.
- Gracie Tompkins: Bringin’ the hustle and muscle on D.
- The underclassmen: These young guns are bringin’ that energy and learnin’ the ropes from the OGs.
Abbie said it best: “I love that defensive role, and I take pride in it.” That’s what you call grit, grind, and greatness!
A Program Built to Last
The Lady Warriors are sittin’ at 14-1 with their eyes locked on the prize. They’ve won their first five Mountain 7 District games, and Coach Dotson’s already plottin’ for that trip to the Siegel Center in March.
“Our expectations haven’t changed,” Dotson said. “District, regional, and state championships—that’s the goal.” And you better believe they’ve got the blueprint:
- Strong youth league programs.
- Solid coaching.
- Aggression and heart on every play.
Lady Warriors: Queens of the Court
The Lady Warriors are already ranked #1 in Class 2 by the Basketball Coaches Association of Virginia. They’re seven-time state champs and have hit the title game nine times in the last 13 years. That’s what you call dominance, baby!
Snoop’s Final Word
Let me tell ya somethin’—the Wise Central Lady Warriors are the real deal. They’ve got the skill, the hustle, and the swagger to take it all the way. “Game recognizes game, and these ladies are runnin’ the court like queens!”
So to all my Lady Warriors: Keep grindin’, keep ballin’, and keep makin’ history. Big shoutout to the fans who show up no matter the weather—y’all are part of this championship DNA.
Let’s go, Lady Warriors! Fo’ shizzle, the court belongs to YOU!
